Don't you like to meet old people also??? Over the years I have heard at least 75 of your concerts!

It would be splendid if you could meet our domesticated pets--providing they behave and not make a mess of things. Though they can't buy tickets or music CDs (we can do that for them), the tradeoff is that they won't get the house in a divorce settlement. Exotic pets or farm animals should be excluded due to ordinances stipulated by The Board of Health!

I think that J. Cee makes an excellent point. There is no reason that well-behaved dogs and cats shouldn't be allowed to enjoy your concerts. I have made this same point numerous times to the powers that be at Tanglewood, but they keep saying that picnickers wouldn't be pleased because of what dogs and cats might do on the lawn. But you wouldn't have that problem merely allowing dogs and cats to sit on seats at your concerts. What do you say?

I already purchased my ticket to your September 10th concert at the Gardner. I have seen you perform there twice and you were outstanding. Just discovered this blog twenty minutes ago. Very fun. Someday I will have to invest in one of your CDs.

Welcome to our blog (and website), histfan! Thanks for planning to come to our concert at the Gardner -- we are looking forward to our final installment of the Beethoven cycle! See you soon...

Hey Donna. Is the rumor true that the Claremont Trio will be playing a complete Brahms and Schumann Piano Trio cycle at the Gardner in January, March and September of 2008, one by each composer per concert? If so, that is terrific news! Even better the Gardner ought to make the Claremont Trio its resident piano trio!

Yes, we will be playing another cycle of trios at the Gardner Museum in Boston in the 2007-2008 season. Dates have not been set yet but they will be Schumann/Brahms trios. Looking forward!

Donna, So you will play three concerts at the Gardner 2007-2008 season. Sounds good, but am I correct that you will only perform there once in 2006-2007? Your last concert was sold out there!

Indeed, you are correct about the number of concerts in Boston in the 2006-2007 season. If you would like to take a little drive in January (2007), you can catch us in concert in Worcester, MA. :)

Dear Donna,

In response to histfan's comment, although two-thirds of the Claremont Trio isn't nearly as good as the full Claremont Trio, I have it on good authority that the two string playing members of the Claremont Trio will be performing the Brahms Double Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra with the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra on Friday evening, December 1, 2006. That performance will take place at Sanders Theater on the Harvard University Campus. Wasn't it Robespierre who said that two-thirds of a loaf is a lot better than none?

I don't want to follow in Robespierre's footsteps although I appreciate your tip about the concert Aloysius. Might you be one of the conspirators who enjoyed eating at John Jay and late night eggs over easy at Tom's Diner?

Dear histfan

I have never eaten at John Jay or had late night eggs over easy at Tom's Diner. You seem to have the wrong dude in mind! You must be thinking of a different Aloysius, I am afraid....

hello donna, I'm a member of Pianoworld forums (pianoworld.com) a great community of folks from around the world who love talking about anything piano related.

One of our members posted a pic he found on the internet with the Claremont Trio performing in what looks to be somewhere in the SW area. Although it tends to remind me of a visit to a place outside of Denver called Redrock. I didn't know if you might be interested in dropping by at our forums and saying "hello".

I came by to check out your website and noticed you had just performed at the Gardner museum!! I'm just a few towns north of Boston and would have loved to attend the performance. I'm so disappointed I found out about it too late but perhaps the next time you are in town.

PW forums also has a section to advertise an event; Piano Concerts, Recitals in case you would like to let us know your schedule or maybe even post a link; provide some info on yourself and the Claremont Trio.

Here is a link to a poster from PianoWorld forums who showed a pic of your group. I believe he was concerned about the piano!! It's a very common occurrance on our forum!! :)

I look forward to being at a future performance; possibly Worcester.
