Beautiful Oregon

This week our tour continues with some concerts in Oregon. Ah, the Pacific Northwest...very close to Donna's heart since she grew up in Vancouver. We have miraculously caught 4 days of gorgeous weather so far.

As we drove from Coos Bay to Grants Pass, we paused to check out an elk viewing area. If you look carefully you can see some lazy looking elk in the middle of this meadow:

Later along the drive we saw some picturesque farms with some very cute sheep and lambs.

Tomorrow we have a travel day and we're hoping to make a detour to drive along the famous Oregon coast. We'll report back....

Scenic photography, as always, though disconcerting to see any area designated for elk viewing. Erected barriers notwithstanding, and assuming the lazy devils are not in the rut, let's just say that orange outerwear & orange headwear is always in season when in visible proximity to elk, moose and especially deer in mother nature's coliseum.

Please send some of that nice weather east! The Oregon countryside looks gorgeous! A little birdy tells me that Emily and Julie spent a month in Oregon and Washington around 15 years ago or so with their parents and their younger sister, Amanda. Would you have taken your violin and cello with you so that you wouldn't get out of shape practicing-wise?
