On a bitterly cold morning at 7AM the other day, as I was settling into my office after a hectic, icy commute, sipping coffee, and clearing my head to teach for 4 straight hours from 8-12, I visited your blog and watched your performance of "Cafe Music." It was so radiant, joyous, and refreshing that it set me up for the rest of the day--one of my best teaching days ever--and after class, one girl came up breathlessly and said "That was the best class I EVER attended."
Thanks, Emily, Donna, and Julie! And don't be put off by uptight critics clucking about "eye candy." I take a more classical/Renaissance view myself, seeing you as avatars of the Three Graces--Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (Mirth), and Thalia (Good Cheer). (Google Botticelli's "Primavera" to see what I mean)
