Claremont, Circa 1986

As we gear up for our 10th anniversary season, it seems like a good time to look back at how it all began...

Wh does Julie have an arrow stuck to her cello? Also, is there anything significant about the fact that you and Emily are playing in dresses while Julie seems very comfortable in shorts and bright red sneakers? Does this say anything about your differing personalities?

Hmmmm I'll guess that 2 of these photos are from the days of the Belmont College of Musical Knowledge (their famed pee-wee squad), but the 3rd little prodigy appears to be mastering the technique of playing keyboards side-by-each just like Rick Wakeman did in Yes when he was imitating the Method of Mozart, only her feet barely touch the petals.

Could you tell me a little more about your concerts scheduled in Boston and Moblie, Al, for the 2008-2009 season? Do you know which pieces you plan to perform?

Histfan,

The program for Mobile is still TBD, but that concert will take place at Laidlaw Auditorium at South Alabama University at 7:30pm.

As for the Boston concerts, the one on November 30th is part of an Elliott Carter celebration of his 100th birthday. We will play his Piano Quintet in collaboration with members of the Borromeo String Quartet. The concert in January will be a part of the 90th birthday celebration for Leon Kirchner and as I understand it, we will be playing his piano trios (which incidentally will be on our next disc!).

Hope that helps!
