A Unique Rehearsal

Often, we rehearse onstage at the concert venues, but occasionally, a busy venue is not available to us so our very accommodating presenters find us alternate rehearsal spaces. Most do not have views like this, however:

This was a photo taken from the window of a private home in La Jolla, CA. We were wondering why we felt so, well, HAPPY, to be there. Here's another look out the window:

Check out the room:

Too cool. Sadly, my apartment (Claremont Trio rehearsal space) is not quite as exciting and exotic as this. Perhaps it's time for me to consider some redecorating. Or relocating.

Donna,

That rehearsal space looks pretty gorgeous indeed. However, just think how distracting it would be to have that view all the time you rehearse! It probably would cut down your and Julie's and Emily's concentration by a good 35%. So perhaps the thing for the Claremont Trio to do is to use the undoubtedly bountiful profits from your concerts and CD sales to buy a place like that in La Jolla and use it for an occasional vacation respite from all the Trio touring. (Also think how living in a home with that kind of view would reduce Kai Yu's productivity at work....)

They say, "Be careful what you wish for..." An exotic locale is wonderful to indulge in, as long as the experience makes you appreciate your current surroundings all the more.
I dunno, maybe do a time-sharing thing in B.C. or somewhere on the Cape & Islands-- it'll keep the families in relative proximity.
