Maine Lobster

Last week we returned to a beautiful part of Maine for a concert near Acadia National Park. While there, Donna sampled the local catch ;-) Emily and I generally avoid shellfish and stick to food we can eat without a basket of utensils, but the report is it was delicious.

It's always fun to go back to a venue because the places and people feel familiar but also because it makes you realize all the ways you've grown (as a person, as a musician, as a group) since being there last. And sometimes it takes you back to another specific moment in history. In this case, as soon as I walked into the Claremont Hotel (!), I remembered that during our last stay there, I watched the announcement as Sarah Palin was named McCain's running mate for the 2008 election. It seems like such a long time ago and yet some things haven't changed at all....
